January 14, 2015, we held our Holiday Networking Event at the Bonefish Grill.
February 9th Board meeting, we had Joe Simoes, Clarkstown Planner provide an update to rezoning and Nanuet revitalization efforts.
February 26 – 2nd Annual Health & Fitness Expo at Nanuet Library Community Room (with 30 vendors).
March 13 – Art & Culture, Shops at Nanuet in the 2nd-floor atrium between Macy’s and Regal Theaters. It was well attended with over 100 adults and children artists who were presented cash prizes by the Nanuet Chamber of Commerce.
April 17-26 – Shop & Dine in Nanuet
May 4 – Annual Election Meeting and Networking (we had several Board positions to fill from expiring terms).
June 2 we held a networking “bag stuffing” party with over 35 volunteers stuffed the bags to be given out at the Street Fair with member and sponsor literature. The event was held at Pinot’s Palette in Nanuet where attendees networked and enjoyed wine and cheese.
June 7, Our 2nd Annual Nanuet Street Fair (with estimates of 15,000+ attendees)
June – The Chamber awarded two $500 scholarships to Nanuet High School seniors for Community Service applications completed.
July 9, a joint chamber networking event where members from local chambers gathered to network. The event was held outdoors (with tents) at the Shops of Nanuet.
September 30, the Chamber hosted a dinner networking event with guest speaker Greg David (Crain’s New York Business). He offered his views on “New York: Where we were, where we are, and how you can take advantage of where we are headed!”
October 31, our 3rd annual Spooktacular. Free giveaways, pumpkin painting, make your own mask and trick or treating for children (of all ages). Everyone in costumes.
November 6, Breakfast and Learn about Energy Options for Small Business, Sponsored by Nextility – How can you save money?
November 7, New Chamber Website was launched with greater security and enhanced membership features.
November 9, Board Meeting (7:00 PM) and First Look at the Chamber’s newly designed website.
November 28, Chamber participated in Opening of Coupe Dance Studio at their new location
November 28, Chamber worked with and promoted local businesses in support of Small Business Saturday.
November 30 (week of), having worked with the Town of Clarkstown over the last year, the Chamber was able to realize new Christmas decorations, lights and banners installed on Main Street in Nanuet. The Chamber partially contributed to the cost to enhance Main Street and it’s businesses during the Holiday season.
December 4, the Chamber participated in The Shops at Nanuet annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and gave out candy canes to children of all ages.
December 5, the Chamber again coordinating with The Shops at Nanuet, held an arts and crafts event by providing crafts for children who were visiting Santa to create their own personal decorations. The youth of Immaculate Conception Church in Stony Point volunteered as “elves” to assist children with their personal decorations.
December 6, the Chamber participated in The Shops at Nanuet annual Menorah Lighting. The arts and crafts tables were also available.
