The Nanuet Chamber website has a substantial amount of information for users on our website. As such we do occasionally receive questions from users looking for specific information and its location on our website. We have attempted to compile some of these questions in the Frequently Asked Questions below.

Where can I obtain an application to exhibit at the Street Fair?

Our annual Street Fair is held the first Sunday in June. The Vendor application for our upcoming Street Fair, June 7, 2020 is available now. A link to a PDF of the application is available in two places.

  • On our Home page - scroll down to just below the Street Fair countdown clock to "Exhibitor Application" highlighted in the blue box.
  • It is also available on the "Street Fair" page available from the top menu in the same location, just under the countdown clock highlighted as "Exhibitor Application" in the bluebox.
Where can I register for the Rockland County Tourism Map?

The ability to register for the Rockland County Tourism Map can be found under "Sponsorships - Chamber Sponsorships" from the Main highlighted menu on any page. The Tourism Map option is the third coumn at the top of the page. Simply select Add to Cart which will bring you to the registration and payment page.

If you are a Chamber member, please sign in and the member price will be adjusted in the Shopping Cart at checkout.

Where can I register for the Chamber Website Ad?

The Annual Website Ad is only $1.00 per day for non-members for your company logo and link to your website (and only .79 per day for members!). Your business logo is highlighted  on our home page with a link to your website.

What is required to send an email blast (member benefit)?

If you wish to take advantage of this benefit, you need to provide a jpg file (not a word document with images in it) that is 550 pixels wide by any length. It must include all pertinent information about the event you are promoting e.g., time, place, address, etc. and include contact information, web address, etc. Please also include a Subject Line for your email blast.

In addition to the jpeg file "ready to go", we also need a word document with ONLY words in it, containing all the relevant information e.g. time, place, address, contact information, etc. No pictures or images of any kind. This is for people who only get text emails and not HTML.

Please send your information outlined above at least two (preferably more) weeks before you wish the email blast to be sent. You can forward complete the form here or send your information to the chamber email address of info@nanuetchamber.com

Where can I find some of the benefits of being a Nanuet Chamber member?

Below are some of the benefits available to members. (This information is alos availble under the "Join: menu chioce.) The amount of member participation is up to the members. The chamber feels that as a member participates with the chamber the more they will value their membership. We have a wide range of information on the chamber website: (www.nanuetchamber.com)

  • Our monthly board meetings are open to the public (although these are working meetings).
  • We hold various networking events (some free or at reduced member fees) throughout the year at various member venues. Attendance of course varies.  We post our events on our website and on the Chamber Facebook page.
  • We coordinate with the other 7 chambers in Rockland County and try to arrange quarterly Chamber Alliance events. These usually get about 100 people in attendance from all over the county.

This is a brief list of benefits (some are highlighted above).

  • Your business listed in our enhanced Member Directory with a description, photo and/or logo and link to your site. (You can login and create your own entry, or if you wish, we would be happy to assist).
  • Discounts on most meetings paid in advance.
  • Advance notice and registration for our Street Fair and reduced member rate ($90 versus $175).
  • Member discount to place a business card size ad on the Rockland County Tourism Map (both in print and online). The ad will rotate in the online version which includes substantially more information. Anyone taking an ad can also add video or photos to their listing. The map is also linked on the Rockland County Tourism website. (direct link at www.visitrocklandny.com)
  • The ability to send up to two emails a year to our mailing list with your promotional message. (Submission form with details)
  • Reduced rates at Rockland Chamber Alliance events.
  • Scholarships for members accepted into Leadership Rockland in the amount of $250.
  • An opportunity to spotlight your business at a meeting.
  • Networking at YOUR location! We want to help you showcase your business. Visit networking at your location which explains the program and how we can bring members to your business.
  • Opportunities to network with others in and around Nanuet to build your business.
  • Direct access to people who can provide information on zoning and town and county issues that directly affect your business - we are your voice!
  • There is strength in numbers! The Nanuet Chamber is a strong voice and a strong advocate for businesses AND residents! We meet with the Town monthly and express your concerns.
  • The benefit of membership for residents is a chance to have your finger on the pulse of what is going on in Nanuet and we will act as your voice to the politicians who impact your home prices, school system and overall Town decisions - you are also welcome to join any committee as well as the board to get involved and have a say in planning events and activities through the Chamber!

We invest in the Nanuet Community:

  • Holiday lights and banners on Main Street which was an effort fostered by the Chamber in conjunction with the Town of Clarkstown and partially paid for by the chamber.
  • New handmade refuse containers on Main Street, paid for by the Chamber.
  • The beautified Adopt-a-Spot at the entrance to Nanuet (coming from Pearl River)
  • The Chamber also provides two $1,000 scholarships to area high school seniors who are Nanuet residents, etc.
  • We have recently created a 501 (c) 3 charity, Nanuet and Beyond (nanuetandbeyond.org) to focus on “Enriching the educational experience for all.” See the website for more details.
How do I become a member of the Nanuet Chamber?

The Nanuet Chamber currently has three levels of membership.

  • A business member is $150 per year
  • A non-profit organization is $75 a year
  • an individual membersihip is $25 a year

Membership is on a rolling year basis from the date of becoming a member.

Select the "Join" menu choice and complete the enrollment form. You may complete the information and select "Pay by Check" if for example, corporate sends the payment.

The enrollment form also becomes the foundation for the Enhanced Member Directory Entry upon receipt of payment (either credit card or check).
