2020 Holiday Window Decorating Contest
virtual
The Nanuet High School Junior Chamber of Commerce is coordinating a Holiday Window Decorating Contest to “Light-Up” Nanuet. As we are not able to hold our Tree Lighting Ceremony this year, due to COVID, we are encouraging all storefronts to decorate their windows in some way for the Holidays. Add some holiday lights, garland, a statue of Santa Claus, elfs, a sleigh whatever will “Light up Nanuet” and also bring business to your door or at least make shoppers and the public stop and look.
Members of the Nanuet High School Junior Chamber will judge the best holiday decorations starting Wednesday December 9th. Send photos of your window to the Junior Chamber email at nanuetjuniorchamber@gmail.com. The Nanuet Chamber will offer a FREE one year membership (or one year extension to an existing member) to the winner of the contest and will be announced on December 23rd.

Rockland Shopping EXPO
Businesses - SIGN UP NOW!This holiday season we are helping our members sell online to the Rockland County community and beyond. We have partnered with the Rockland Business Women's Network to bring the first Rockland County Online Holiday Shopping Expo to our community. We want to encourage people to shop local!
The expo fee for our chamber members is $100, please check with us to ensure that your membership is up to date so you get the best price (non-members will pay $150). Non- Profits are $75.
You can sign up today at www.rocklandshopping.com. Once your membership is confirmed you will be approved. You will then pay the registration fee and will be able to upload up to 21 photos with descriptions of items you want to sell. A few things to keep in mind:
1) Retail businesses, service businesses, and nonprofits can all participate. Service businesses can offer their services individually or as a special "show package" and nonprofits can offer "donations" for sale or package them up, for example, "Feed a senior for a week" and assign it a dollar value for the donation. We also encourage everyone to consider offering show deals and discounts to encourage online shopping such as 10% off when you mention the show, etc.
2) You can sell 1 item or up to 21 items.
3) You can list quantities of each in the description so that you actually have more items online ultimately. (For example, This item is available in multiple colors and we have 10 in stock.)
4) The sales process doesn't actually happen on the site. All sales will go directly through you, and you will handle all shipping or pick-up arrangements so your company description should include how people can order, i.e. over the phone, via email, etc.
5) The only fee is the booth registration fee so you keep the entire profit of whatever you sell.
6) You should prepare photos of your items for sale and have them ready to upload as jpgs with descriptions after you are approved. Service businesses could put up pictures of their logos or headshots with different descriptions for different service offerings. Nonprofits can do something similar or get creative with fun photos.
7) The show will be open from December 5th through 9th - 24/7 and all Chambers and the RBWN will be promoting it along with the County Executive Office and the Office for Economic Development. News 12 and other media will also promote it.
Please be sure to use the attached graphic to promote the Expo on your own social platforms and through emails to your customers.
This is a great way to not only gain visibility for your Rockland business no matter where it is located, but also to gain new customers and sales.

2019 Street Fair Bag Stuffing Party
Nanuet Firehouse, 29 Old Middletown Road Map
Become a Street Fair sponsor for this year's 2019 6th Annual Nanuet Chamber Street Fair and join us for a sponsor's only invitation bag stuffing party on Thursday, May 30th. This year our networking and fun event will be held at the Nanuet Firehouse, 29 Old Middletown Road, Nanuet from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Bag stuffing begins promptly at 6:30 PM. Anyone may sponsor our events, and do not have to be a chamber member to sponsor. However, membership has its advantages for many of our activities.Street Fair sponsors are treated to light refreshments and snacks while they add their literature, coupons, giveaways, etc. to the 500 bags the Nanuet Chamber gives away for FREE to the first 500 families who stop by the Nanuet Chamber booth at the upcoming Street Fair, Sunday, June 2nd. Only Street Fair sponsors may place promotional material in the giveaway bags.
For the bag stuffing event, sponsors are asked to arrive with their materials by 6:00 PM so we can begin bag stuffing promptly at 6:30 PM. Those who have attended in the past will agree, we have this fun process "down to a science" and have usually completed stuffing the 500 bags within 90 minutes. Besides the free wine and snacks, networking, any many laughs, all sponsors receive a bag and t-shirt for their support. For some these have become collector's items.
See our Sponsorship page (nanuetchamber.com/sponsorships/) for many options. Sponsorships for the Street Fair begin at $100 (bag/t-shirt sponsor) to have your business name placed on the bag and t-shirt. Sponsors of $500 and more have their logo placed on the bag and t-shirt and are included as major sponsors in all our Street Fair advertising (radio, TV, print, etc.) as well as our continued announcements throughout the day at the Street Fair. Last year approximately 18,000 people from Rockland, Orange, Bergen, Westchester, and NYC attended the Street Fair.
We are currently running a sponsorship promotion through February 10, 2019. Select our Multi-sponsor option and members save an additional $100 over member discounted pricing. Non-members who become members will still save $125 over non-member pricing.... See MoreSee Less
