Networking at Raymour

The Nanuet Chamber held a Free Breakfast and Networking event hosted by Raymour & Flanigan. With almost 50 in attendance, and many first time attendees, it was an opportunity to meet and make new business acquaintances. Everyone was given an opportunity to introduce themselves and charities in attendance were also given an opportunity to discuss their respective missions and upcoming events.

Risa Hoag, President of the Nanuet Chamber offered a description of some of the significant past activities and a number of our upcoming activities. Susan Farese, Nanuet Chamber Vice President, noted our upcoming Halloween Spooktacular at Miller Elementary School, our Veterans Day Salute to Veterans at Kelly’s Pub in Nanuet where the Chamber will buy a beer for the first 50 veterans who attend that day. She also highlighted the Shop Small Saturday event where the chamber will be giving out bags with coupons from local businesses.

Commencing in 2015, at our annual planning meeting (our fiscal year starts in July) we have looked to identify a business member who has continually supported and partnered with the Nanuet Chamber by promoting our events, sponsoring events, hosting events and continually standing out to further the Nanuet Chamber’s efforts. In doing so, they are supporting the community and thus assisting the chamber in fulfilling our mission and goals.

We created a Partnership in Progress Award to recognize those businesses who in the past and hopefully will continue in the future be a true partner of the Nanuet Chamber in furthering our goals for the overall community.

As this event was a kick off celebrating our 6th year as a chamber, we presented this year’s Partnership in Progress Award to Raymour & Flanigan for their constant support for the Nanuet Chamber and Nanuet and Beyond  (a 501 c3 charity founded by the Nanuet Chamber).
