The Nanuet Chamber of Commerce is offering one $1,000 scholarship to a senior graduating from Nanuet High School, Clarkstown South High School, Birchwood, Albertus Magnus High School, BOCES or attending private school but residing in the 10954 area for a minimum of the past three years.

Community Service Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to one high school senior who exemplifies community involvement and support through their actions, service and leadership. The Scholarship winner will have the check made out to the school of his/her choice, in their name, to their account.

PART II. ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND GOALS
SUBMIT TWO VERSIONS—ONE WITH YOUR NAME ON EACH PAGE AND ONE WITHOUT YOUR NAME VISIBLE ANYWHERE IN THE DOCUMENTS.
- Please summarize any high school activities or organizations in which you participated and describe your role in them. Describe any involvement with a local event, organization or activity over the past four years in which you demonstrated strong leadership skills, entrepreneurial spirit, or civic mindedness. List any offices held, particularly highlighting those with community involvement and provide detail of any community activities you participated in while attending high school. Also include any awards, honors, or recognitions you received in the last four years, particularly highlighting those with community involvement. (You may attach a resume to answer this section as well as additional documentation as appropriate and necessary.) Finally, briefly describe your plans after graduation and your future goals.
PART III. WRITTEN “STORY”
You live and thrive in Nanuet and you dream of the future of your great town. What is most memorable to you personally that would provide the greatest impact in sharing with others. Prepare a story to tell people about the great place you live in and what the future holds. Describe in detail plans for what you see in the present day as a Nanuet resident and describe your dreams of the future of Nanuet. What is your vision for the Nanuet community?
Your “Story” should be typed and approximately two pages or 500 words. It should have a title (centered) that is apropos of your content.
SUBMIT TWO VERSIONS—ONE WITH YOUR NAME ON EACH PAGE AND ONE WITHOUT YOUR NAME VISIBLE ANYWHERE IN THE DOCUMENTS.
Staple the pages of each copy together in the upper left-hand corner.
PART IV. LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION
Attach one letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, coach or other school official, or an individual outside of school who is familiar with your accomplishments and/or involvement in the community.
PART V. SUBMISSION
After you have completed your part of this application and attached the appropriate documentation, submit all paperwork to your guidance counselor for certification and delivery to the Nanuet Chamber of Commerce scholarship selection committee.
