2018 Art Walk and Exhibition

Join us for our 4th Annual Art Walk and Exhibition Reception featuring art from students K-12 in the Nanuet Schools. This year’s theme is based on the new Nanuet town slogan: “Nanuet: Small Town, Big Heart.” This special event is held in partnership with the Nanuet School District’s Art Department.

Beginning March 9th and running through March 23rd, 100 works of art created by the Nanuet schools students will be displayed at shops and restaurants throughout Nanuet (see list below). The art will then be displayed in the area upstairs in the Shops between the movie theater and Macy’s on the evening of March 23rd between 6:30 PM and 8:30 PM. Parents and students are encouraged to visit the establishments hosting the art and enter the matching contest (details below)!

Our prior events have been an enormous success with art from students in all grades and more than 150 people attend who view the beautiful artwork from 100 students. The event features food and goodies from area businesses and live entertainment from several groups from Nanuet High School playing selections of classical, jazz and pop music.

On March 23, (6:30 PM – 8:30 PM) participating students will be honored with a reception and full exhibition at the Shops at Nanuet in the upper level between Macy’s and Regal Cinemas. The art was judged by local artists, sculptors and art teachers. Prizes will be awarded to the top artist in each category along with 2nd, 3rd and Honorable Mention prizes…PLUS a Grand Prize Winner!

This is a Free Event for the public. There is a suggested $10 donation, that helps to support this annual program.
